Drawing a Gate between 2 points

If you have located 2 points out in the field close together along a fence say and you dont want to change the code in the field but you will in the office and you want to draw a gate symbol between them here is how to do it. There are 2 ways.

Embed New Code - this will add a new code between the 2 pts selected (lowest Pt No first) and dual code them with the one already there e.g. 90301= 90301 90401 or FNC1= FNC1 GATE1. This will now give you a new string inside the fence string.

Inside the command line type DRG or go to Stringer extras in the Stringer Ribbon and select DRG from the list (you can double click on it in here to get it to start) and then select the polyline you want the gate symbol to be added to. (Make sure the osnaps are turned OFF otherwise it wont work & change the scale before adding it to get a larger or smaller gate symbol when added).

Obviously the other way is when you have coded it right out in the field already and you just need to add the gate symbol to the 2d linework to finish the plan.

Very handy
