The Pit Type Keeps Changing!

Q: After assigning a particular Pit Type to a pit that is attached to a Road, you notice that the software CHANGES the applied pit type to another pit. Why? |
A: The software has been set up to automatically cycle through pit types within a family, if the pit is attached to a Road. When a pit is attached to a Road, ARD looks at the Road Longitudinal Slope (%) applied to each Pit Type in the family, and then finds and applies the pit type most closely matching the actual Road centreline grade at that location.
So, to ensure that the right pit type is applied user can:
