How do I copy blocks, linetypes, layers, text and dimension styles and/or layouts from one drawing to another

Open the drawing you want to add new objects to (the receiving drawing)

Type adcenter at the command line.

This opens a form allowing you to extract data from one drawing and drag it into your current drawing.

Navigate to the drawing using the file/folder list on the left and click on the drawing to open.

This lists the object types that can be copied from this drawing.  Open on of the object types (eg: blocks) to see the objects that you can copy to your current drawing.

Highlight the object/s you want to copy from the drawing, then use the left mouse button to drag and drop it into your current drawing.  This will add those objects to the drawing.

Versions: All AutoCAD, Map 3D and Civil 3D

I have been looking for months for a clean answer to this question. Most answers centered around creating the styles and anything else I wanted in a new drawing in a template file, which meant, according to their answers, redefining them, why not just do that in my main drawing? Not anymore, you have answered my million dollar question, check is in the mail:)
